20Bet Ireland: Rules, Terms and Player Policies

Everything an account at 20Bet is governed by sits on this page in plain language: what the operator asks of you, what it owes you back, and where the hard limits fall. The platform has run since 2018 under a Curaçao Gaming Control Board licence (OGL/2024/590/0758) alongside a Kahnawake Gaming Commission licence, and those two permissions set the floor for payouts, data handling and the player-protection tools described further down.

18+ only. Bonus terms and 40× wagering apply.

This is a summary written for players in Ireland. The operator's own terms, published in full on the 20Bet website, are the binding text and win wherever the two disagree.

01Terms and Conditions

Age and eligibility

An account requires you to be 18 or older, and registration asks you to confirm it before the account opens. Age is checked again at verification, and an account opened by anyone under the limit is closed with stakes returned and winnings withheld.

Licensing does not equal permission everywhere. Some countries welcome offshore-licensed operators, others restrict bonuses or particular payment methods outright, and a handful ban the activity altogether. Checking what applies where you live is your responsibility, not the operator's, and an account found in a restricted territory can be closed.

Running your account

Register once, with real details, and keep them current. The name on the account has to match the name on the payment method you fund it with — that single rule causes more blocked payouts than anything else on this page.

Everything staked through your account counts as your own action, so credentials stay private and shared devices get logged out. A sign-in from an unfamiliar device or country can trigger an extra identity check before play resumes.

Accounts are personal and non-transferable. Opening a second account, or letting someone else use yours, voids the bonuses attached to both and can end with the balance frozen.

Money in and money out

Deposits start at €10 for cards and e-wallets and clear instantly in most regions; cryptocurrency usually clears fastest and carries no fee from the operator's side, though your own provider may charge one. A deposit meant to trigger a bonus has to arrive as one single transaction — splitting it across two payments disqualifies it.

Withdrawals return through the route the money came in by. E-wallet and crypto payouts land inside 1 to 24 hours once approved; cards and bank transfers take 1 to 7 working days depending on the receiving bank. The floor is around €10, and the ceilings are €4,000 a day, €10,000 a week and €40,000 a month, with higher limits available to established VIP players.

The first cash-out is never processed before verification completes, so uploading documents early costs you nothing and saves a wait later.

Bonuses and wagering

Welcome free-spin winnings carry a 40× playthrough. Rewards from the VIP ladder and prizes from the Slot Races carry 10×, and race prizes must be cleared inside 14 days. Comp Points exchanged for cash carry a lighter 5×.

Only slot play contributes fully to wagering; table games and live-dealer tables contribute nothing while a bonus is running, and a published list of individual titles is excluded outright. Bonus cards are picked in the cashier at the moment of deposit — an offer not selected before the payment is confirmed cannot be added afterwards.

Free spins arrive in batches and commonly expire 24 hours after they are credited, so unused spins are lost rather than banked. Bets funded from a bonus balance earn no Comp Points.

Settlement, voids and errors

Sports markets settle on the official result for the competition concerned, and each discipline follows its own published rules. Markets left open in error, prices that are obviously wrong, and events whose outcome cannot be confirmed by the official source may be voided with stakes returned.

A bet accepted after an event has begun, or after the outcome is already known, is void regardless of the price shown at the time.

Closing an account, complaints and dormancy

You can close an account at any time through support, and a confirmed balance is returned by an approved method once verification is complete.

Complaints go to support@20bet.com with your username, full name, a clear description and any supporting evidence. The 24/7 live chat handles most issues faster. A dispute that cannot be settled directly may be escalated to the licensing body named at the top of this page.

02Privacy Policy

What is collected

Registration takes your name, date of birth, e-mail address or phone number, country and password. Verification adds an identity document, a proof of address and evidence of the payment method. Using the site adds technical records: IP address, device and browser, pages opened, and the deposits, bets and withdrawals on the account.

Why it is held

The data runs the account, settles bets and payments, satisfies the licence conditions and anti-money-laundering law, blocks fraud and duplicate accounts, and lets support answer you. It also drives the deposit, loss and session limits you set for yourself.

Marketing messages depend on consent given at registration or later in account settings, and withdrawing that consent does not affect the account itself.

Storage and security

Records sit on secured servers, travel encrypted, and are reachable only by staff who need them for the purposes above. Anything tied to gambling activity, payments or verification is kept for the period the licence and anti-money-laundering rules demand, normally several years after an account closes.

Who else sees it

Payment processors, identity-verification providers, the studios supplying the games, and the regulator or law enforcement where a lawful request requires it. It is not sold on for unrelated advertising.

Your rights

You may ask for a copy of what is held, have errors corrected, opt out of marketing, or request erasure. Erasure is bounded by the retention rules above: records the operator is obliged to keep cannot be deleted on request. Requests go to support@20bet.com.

03Cookie Policy

What the cookies do

Essential cookies hold the session, keep you signed in and protect the bet slip. Preference cookies remember language, odds format and layout. Analytics cookies count which pages are used and where visitors get stuck. Marketing cookies measure whether an advertising campaign worked.

The affiliate cookie

This site earns a commission when a visitor opens an account through one of its links, and a small cookie records that the visit started here so the referral can be credited. It holds no payment details and no credentials, and it changes nothing about the odds, the offer or the terms you are given.

Turning them off

Every browser can clear or block cookies from its own settings, and the consent banner refuses the non-essential categories in one click. Blocking the essential group stops sign-in and the bet slip from working.

04AML and KYC Verification

What to send

Verification asks for a valid identity document — passport, national ID card or driving licence — a proof of address issued within the last 90 days, and a screenshot or photograph of the payment method used. Larger withdrawals, or anything inconsistent, can bring a request for a selfie holding the document or proof of the source of funds.

Checks normally complete within a few hours to two days.

Clearing it on the first attempt

Photograph documents whole, with all four corners and every line legible, no cropping, no glare and no editing. Spell your name identically on every document and match it to the account and the payment method. Send everything at once rather than in pieces.

What the operator is watching for

As a licensed business, 20Bet monitors funding and betting patterns for money-laundering signals and is obliged to report suspicion. Accounts can be paused while a check runs, payments from a third party are refused, and turnover with no sensible relationship to the amount deposited can hold a withdrawal until it is explained.

05Responsible Gambling

The tools on offer

Deposit limits can be set daily, weekly or monthly, and live chat is staffed around the clock to apply them. Loss limits cap what a period can cost you, wager limits cap total turnover, and session limits cap how long one sitting runs.

A break locks the account for a minimum of 24 hours and starts the moment you ask. Self-exclusion runs for at least six months, and the account cannot be reopened before that period ends.

Signals worth acting on

Staking more than you planned, going back to recover a loss, borrowing to keep playing, hiding the time or money involved, or reaching for a session to escape stress rather than to enjoy it. Set the limits while setting them still feels easy.

Keeping minors out

Play is restricted to players aged 18 and over in Ireland, and age is verified with documents before the first payout. On a shared device, filtering software such as Gamban, Net Nanny or K9 Web Protection blocks gambling sites at system level. Never let anyone under age use your account or your cards.

Independent help

Gamblers Anonymous, GamCare and Gambling Therapy all offer free, confidential support, and 20Bet links to them from its own responsible gambling page. Gambling is a form of entertainment with a price attached, never an income, and the moment it stops being affordable it has stopped being either.
